  1960 Harley-Davidson Sportster Super CH
In Buzz Buzzelli's The Sportster Handbook, The 1960 XLCH is called the "Worlds first Superbike". The CH by the way stands for Competion Hot. These were built for racing and have a magneto for juice instead of a battery. This bike was originally a 900 ( 883 ) CC. But it has an S&S lower and 1/4" Stroker plates under the jugs. It is now and has been for about 15 years, when I bought it a 1200.
