Introduction:
I'm a 51 y.o. wind tramp, 6'2", 230 lbs., long dark blonde hair & blue/grey eyes. I'm a classic & antique motorcycle & WWII aircraft restorer/pilot. I've lived 85% of my life on two wheels & do not suffer fools gladly. On the other hand, if I consider you a friend I'm loyal as a dog & will have your back whether you're right or wrong. however, if you're wrong & you put us both in a bad situation because of it then your explanation had better be a damned good one.

Headin' in or headin' out,
Standing on the shore.
Pause a moment to reflect,
Which trip costs you more.
Between the ever restless crowds,
And the silence of your room.
Spend an hour in no man's land,
You'll be leaving soon.

Victims come and victims go,
Theres always lots to spare.
One victim lives the tragedy,
One victim stops to stare.
And still another walks on by,
Pretending not to see.
They're all out there in no man's land,
Cause its the safest place to be.

But sanctuary never comes,
Without some kind of risk.
Illusions without freedom,
Never quite add up to bliss.
The haunting and the haunted,
Play a game no one can win.
The spirits come at midnight,
And by dawn they're gone again.

And so it seems our destiny,
To search and never rest.
To ride that ever changing wave,
That never seems to crest.
To shiver in the darkest night,
Afraid to make a stand.
And then go back and do our time,

Out there in no man's land......

Turn ons:
Stroked Pans, Knuckles & Shovels, Long rides to nowhere in particular, Thunderstorms either in the desert or the mountains, Good looking intelligent women that also enjoy long rides to nowhere in particular.
Turn offs:
People who get a bike to be 'cool', New Harleys that require a degree in computer physics to work on them, Any idiot on a bike or in a cage with a cell phone glued to their f**king ear, $40,000.00 useless custom bikes that have to be trailered to a run.
Ideal:
When & if I find her I'll let you know.......
Activities:
Restoring antique & classic bikes, restoring WWII aircraft, plotting the downfall of western civilization, playing mumbledypeg with dimwitted quadrupeds, plotting the demise of my siblings & nephew & hoping that it can be done clever enough to throw off any suspicion that it wasn't an accident. (They were shot, stabbed, poisoned & dismembered. Suicide is suspected). Hopefully that's how the police report will read anyway...
Interests:
H-D's from 1903-1984, Indian's, Crockers, Hendersons WWII aircraft restoration & the road.......
Favorite Music:
The Eagles, POCO, Canned Heat, Bob Seger,Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Outlaws, Warren Zevon, The Doobie Brothers, The Bonzo Dog Band, 10cc, Grinderswitch, Creedence, Motorhead, Primer 55, Metallica, The Grateful Dead, Dr. Demento collections. Aw hell, there's not enough room here for my musical tastes. My opinion of music is that it's far better in most respects than TV, for one you can take music with you on a good long ride. Whether you ride a full dress bagger with it's own sound system or just a good basic road bike with a Walkman/Diskman stashed in your jacket, along with some tapes or CD's & a decent set of phones, music just makes the ride all that much better. I have a wide range of musical tastes, from Bluegrass & Zydeco, up to classic & hard metal rock. Mind you, most times the music that my Pan or Shovel makes for me can be enough for a good ride, but on those really long journeys it's always good to pack tunes along. Hell, you've got to stop for the day's riding at some point & if you camp out like I do then it's good to have something to help you wind down for the evening. Sometimes I'll even take my guitar along & make my own music or if you run into some other riders out there you can entertain yourself & them at the same time.
Favorite TV Shows:
I rarely, if ever waste my time watching television when I can be out living my life. However, I finally found a show that really captures my interest as I'm sure it's got your attention as well....Sons Of Anarchy...Without one Goddamn doubt the best depiction of bikers & club life that I've ever seen ! I hope the show goes for 10 seasons
Favorite Movies:
Evil Roy Slade (By far much funnier than Blazing Saddles) Electra Glide In Blue ( Excellent movie for it's time) Vanishing Point,(The original version with Barry Newman), Bambi Meets Godzilla, Underworld 1 & 2 (Kate Beckinsale is a babe), Gettysburg, Gods & Generals
Favorite Books:
To The Last Man by Michael Sharra, All Quiet On The Western Front by Eric Maria Remarque, The whole Dark Tower series by Stephen King, Contact by Carl Sagan, Bored Of The Rings by The Harvard Lampoon. But mostly the books I read & continue to add to are the road journals I've been keeping for nigh over the last 36 years
Favorite Quotes:
“Excellence is reserved for those who, even when they fail, do so by doing greatly, so that their place shall never be among those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat.”

"Death smiles at us all. All that one can do is to smile back."
About Me:
Update: 09/08/08- As I'm really tired of answering this question, I'm going to make it part of this section. NO, I don't have any tattoos. WHY ? Mainly because I'm a blood & plasma donor, I got started with donating blood back in the late 70's during what were then called "Blood Runs" & they were a really good thing as believe it or not there's always a shortage of blood & plasma on hand at most hospitals. Back then the Red Cross & other blood banks had no problem with tattoos, but then in the 80's this funky little virus called AIDS came into play, along with higher incidences of Hepatitis-A & C.

Of course one of the ways to pick it up was through the sharing of needles, which included tattoo needles, as a lot of shops back then weren't always too concerned with the sterility of their equipment, plus homemade tat guns as well. So the blood banks began to turn away folks with ink, not to discriminate, but as a safety precaution, now if you want to donate blood & you're inked down you need to verify that you have a clean bill of health which is going to cost you & to donate blood or plasma on a regular basis you'd have to stay medically updated to continue. To me, donating blood & plasma is far more important in the long run than having designs placed on my body. I love tattoos, I do custom flash sheets & one of a kind designs for individuals & for several excellent shops myself, but ink won't save one single life, blood & plasma can.

And secondly, I don't recall that having tattoos were some sort of prerequisite qualification for being a biker & they sure as hell don't make you any cooler as a person. An asshole or poser with tats is still an asshole or poser.
So if any lady that might care to know me requires that I be inked down to be desirable, then I suggest that you look elsewhere. I'm not a biker because it's cool, I'm a biker because it's my life. Now back to the program that is already in progress....

Eclectic, picky, cynical, sarcastic & slightly eccentric longtime bike tramp, I like to get as much mileage on my bike as possible, I believe that your given word is by far more important than your signature on a piece of paper & I'm somewhat of a practical joker. I've been referred to at times as a truly sick twisted individual (I guess they're just trying to get on my good side) I mean Geez! You get caught one time playing 'Gopher Polo' on your bike & you're branded for life.
I'd rather ride than party although partying has it's place & moments too, nothing like a stage 3 hangover to brighten up your day, eh ? I love a good buzz as long as it doesn't involve attitudes, fights or police presence. I won't play politics with friendships & don't take sides, if you have a problem with someone in the group then you deal with it, don't ask or tell me who I'm going to hang with, besides then all you'll manage to do is to stress me out & ruin my fun,(granted stress is easily cured by perching on my rooftop with an AK-47, a sniper scope & a dozen full clips LMAO).
I'm in search of one good woman that'll walk or ride beside me, I don't seek a woman who'll do everything I say, if I want unquestioning loyalty then I can look to my dog. If she doesn't nag at me then I won't nag at her, I'm perfectly aware of all my faults so I don't need them pointed out to me at every opportunity & won't ask anyone's pardon for them, it's just me.
I have a huge playful streak that comes out at odd times, I also have a romantic streak too, but I don't do walks on the beach, candlelight dinners & running through meadows with abandon.
I'm tactless & blunt, possessing all the finesse of a grenade, so if you really don't want to know what I think on any given subject then don't ask me.I'm not so arrogant as to believe that I'm right all the time & I really do want to know what my lady thinks about things & I will listen to what she's got to say.
So, if you think you might be interested in getting better acquainted then type away & let me know.
Ride easy all........
