6/4/12 Updated; plan in place.
We'll be cruising through W. Virginia, E. West Virginia, and W. MD. Roughly 6-hours of bike time, 8-9 hours of road time including lunch, gas and site seeing stops EACH day. Total milage is about 550 miles.
Leave Saturday, 6/23, 8:30AM from my house near North East, MD. Return by 5PM Sunday, 6/24.
Saturday AM's first planned gas stop, and to pick up more folks as needed, is on the West side of Baltimore in or near Frederick, MD, but could easily be Ellicott City too. Lunch/2nd gas stop stop on Saturday will be some where in Front Royal, VA. If we keep Frederick as the first stop, then my plan of having 2-hour segmented drives plays out. In other words, we won't be on the bikes longer than 90-100 miles, aprox. two hours, before a break occurs. We will stay over night in Harrisonburg, VA At the Budget Inn.

I got a nonsmoking room with a king size bed reserved for $52.99 for the evening of 6/23. The Manager "Kay or Kate, she's Indian imagine that!" said they have at least 10 rooms available some with two double beds and some with kings. I told her you would be calling over the next few days.
After breakfast Sunday we will hit the real reason for the ride, a very scenic and twisty section of RT 33 and arrive at Scenica Rocks "NRA" shortly after that for short walk. Lunch and gas stop will be in Austa, WVA along old route 50; then home!

Hold On Picking up peeps from Balt/DC/Delmarva area at 10AM 6/23: Near Exit 80, Hwy 32 & I70. HIGHS DAIRY STORE #65 12780 FREDERICK RD, WEST FRIENDSHIP, MD 21794 Gas station is south of I70 a 1/4 mile or so.
