Favorite Music:
Oingo Boingo (!!) and just about anything Elfman or Bartek play or compose. Early Talking Heads (the later stuff sucked) and most of 80's alternative (NO HAIR BANDS). "3-piece" bands (guitars-keyboards-drums) bore me. I like music that is varied and unusual. Rockin' xylophones and horns with a chorus doing backup vocals? Sheeezit, I'm all over that! Tull? Hell yeah. Zydeco and ska move my soul. Native American drums and flute can be healing. And just to keep from being pigeonholed, throw in some classic punk for good measure. Don't try to keep up - just let go!

I hate TV.
No really - TV eats your soul. Instead of sitting on the couch, GET OUT AND RIDE!!
Okay, I'll admit that I did get hooked on "Rescue Me", but only via DVD. I WON'T watch broadcast TV. Dennis Leary is one funny/f**ked-up summabeech!

Favorite Movies:
Whatever Netflix mails me is cool. Usually. What would I watch more than once? Hmmm...
The Matrix - only the original - the sequels sucked.
Alien and Aliens - for different reasons. Alien was high-intensity suspense. Aliens was a great action thriller with a good formula. Remember when Sigourney Weaver was hot? The rest sucked. Yeah, even AVP. Make that especially AVP.
Slingblade - UhnnHuhngh.
Team America - 'cause I have never laughed so hard and been so offended in my life... SIMULTANEOUSLY.
We Were Soldiers / Saving Private Ryan / FMJ / Platoon: All mandatory viewing. Perhaps even The Patriot.
I could go on...
Oh yeah, I hated all the LOTR movies - mostly 'cause the whole farookin' cast was just creepy-ghey... When Gandalf finally came out of the closet, the whole effeminate guy-elf thing made sense. Then there was Liv Tyler passing out sculpted kooter pendants... "Hey Aaragorn, want to blow the Horn of Gondor?" Gah!

Favorite Books:
Books - you mean those things made out of bound wood pulp and ink? I think I remember seeing a picture of one on the Intertubes once...
j/k - I read science fiction, mostly. Jack Chalker's Well World series is one of my all-time faves. Other favorite sf writers - Frederick Pohl and Orson Scott Card.
I'm some kind of weird when I start reading - I have to finish it immediately or I'll put it down and never finish. I'll stay awake an entire weeknight or devote a whole weekend to reading one book.

The problem with that is, I would have a tough time convincing people it really does belong in the Non-Fiction section.
Yeah, my life really *has* been that complicated and weird. I think my wife doubted me before we were married - but she's a believer now!
