1966 Harley-Davidson Custom My one and only TRUE love for decades,though it no longer is the original bike, and has many changes over the years.
1981 BMW 1981 BMW R65
A very sweet 650cc,short wheelbase airhead BMW. This is the first year, with dual front brake. They did a few changes to cut production costs the years after this, so this is the best of the R65s. I have ridden it a lot because it has an electric starter, and because of disabilities I could not any longer after decades kick over the ol' harley. Now I have the 76, with e start, which loves the wide open road, but the R65 doesn't mind the city commute traffic, so it is my workhorse
1976 Harley-Davidson Shovelhead Custom I've decided front& rear disc brakes, working speedometer, horn, an electric starter are some things I am going have for a change. My injuries will not let me kick start the old shovel. Eventually I'll add e start to '66, but this '76 sang to me! Need more carry capacity to live on it and travel. Bigger bags, etc. This sweet shovelhead called to me deep in the depths of my soul, and I disregarded much advice to buy a 'dependable newer' model. Rather push a shovel than ride anything else!
